Microsoft confirms November 10 launch date for the Xbox Series S

Microsoft revealed the official launch date for its upcoming Xbox Series S console. It will hit stores on November 10.

Microsoft confirmed the digital-only console following weeks of rumors and less than a day after a trailer was leaked. The trailer revealed the launch date and other rumors, including the $300 price, which was later confirmed.

The Nintendo Switch 2 launch lineup just got a lot more enticing for Sega fans, with Sonic X Shadows Generations, Yakuza 0 Director's Cut and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S all receiving June 5 release dates. Preorders for these titles (and more) start April 24, and each of these three titles have been improved to offer Nintendo Switch 2 players a little something extra.

Sonic X Shadow Generations has enhanced graphics and gameplay, and also includes a total remaster of Sonic Generations with bonus content. It's particularly appealing for fans of Sonic lore and explains exactly what Shadow is considered the "ultimate lifeform." You can preorder the game for $50 starting tomorrow.

Ghost of Yotei launch date shown in new trailer, and it’s sooner than you think

After a long wait, Sony has finally lifted the veil on Ghost of Yotei's release date: October 2, 2025. A new story trailer introduces players to the main antagonists, a group of six gang members that Atsu has sworn to hunt down. Called "The Onryo's List," Atsu carries it with her everywhere she goes — and uses it to wipe the blood of her enemies from her blade.

In the PlayStation Blog post, Sony writes, "It’s been nearly five years since we shipped Ghost of Tsushima, and in that time we’ve been hard at work making Ghost of Yōtei something special. While the stories are unrelated, it’s important to us to make this a worthy follow-up to Jin’s journey, and we can’t wait for you to experience Atsu’s quest for vengeance later this year."
