How we chose the best TV deals

TVs are some of the most frequently discounted pieces of tech on the market, and with so many TV deals out there to look at it can be a little overwhelming trying to figure out which among them are the best TV deals. The main thing we look for when selecting the best TV deals is balance. There’s a lot to take into account, such as brand recognition, picture technology, screen size, and even the year the TV was released, and we look at all of these things and make selections that provide a decent balance of them all.

Screen size and picture technology are important, but they can be easily sorted through once you’ve found a brand and price range you like. And while we always include some bargain options among the best TV deals, we try to stay focused on more recognizable brands. Brands like Samsung, LG, and Sony are widely considered to be among the best TV brands, and even they have substantial and frequent discounts going. Brands like TCL, Vizio, and Hisense have become known as great value brands, and their generally low prices are made even better with frequent discounts.

As well, newer TVs tend to get the upper hand when we’re narrowing things down. It’s very easy to find discounts on TV models that are a year or two old, but the discounts they see are often similar to the discounts we see on newer models. It makes little sense to purchase a TV that’s three years old when its newer counterpart is essentially the same price, so we always try to keep more recently released models among our selections for the best TV deals.

The best Samsung GameBreaks TV deals for every budget
A Samsung executive stands in front of a GameBreaks app screen.

Samsung recently announced the new GameBreaks app on Samsung TVs and monitors from 2022 onwards. It's a way for you to get "easy to play, social experiences" on your Samsung device. We know there's a trivia quiz game coming, as well as a visual game called Ripplash that sort of scrambles up an image and has you identify it. Each day, more puzzles will be added in a way that should feel right at home for '-dle' game players (Wordle, Flagle, etc.). More games are coming, too, such as a Mad Libs styled trivia game, video memory game, and more.

This is all fun and good, but you really can't play unless you have a (relatively) new Samsung TV or Samsung monitor. A check around Samsung's site has led me to find some great deals on TVs — some perfect for every budget — that you can use to upgrade your home's entertainment system, play Samsung GameBreaks, and feel like you truly got a great deal. Tap the button below to see all Samsung TV deals at the site, or keep reading for our Samsung GameBreaks favorites.

The TCL QM8K is out, so the QM6K is 19% off and the QM7K is 33% off
A lifestyle image of the TCL QM7K in a living room.

For those who are on the hunt for TV deals to upgrade their home theater setup, we highly recommend going for TCL. It's made a name as one of the best TV brands with the value that its products provide, and the flagship TCL QM8K, which we gave a score of 4.5 stars out of 5 stars in our review, is an excellent example of this. However, we'd like to highlight the discounts from Amazon on two other models in the same line: the 65-inch TCL QM6K at 19% off, for a $148 discount that brings it down to $650, and the 65-inch TCL QM7K at 33% off, for a $502 discount that brings it down to $998.

The savings that you can get for the 65-inch TCL QM6K and the 65-inch TCL QM7K aren't going to last forever though. There's no telling how much time is remaining on these savings, or when the stocks that are up for sale will run out. If you're interested in buying either one of these QD-Mini LED TVs, we highly recommend proceeding with your purchase as soon as you can.
